Privacy policy

The short version

The calculator runs in your browser. The dimensions and weights you type are never sent to this site's servers and are not stored anywhere. Closing the tab discards them.

Analytics

This site uses privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It records the page visited, the referring site, approximate country, and device type. It does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.

Advertising

This site displays advertising served by third-party ad networks, including Google. These networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and from many other networks at optout.aboutads.info.

Cookies and your choices

The calculator needs no cookies at all. It works fully whether you accept them or not, and the numbers you type are never stored.

Two other things can set cookies: advertising, and the analytics that count page views. Both are switched off until you say otherwise.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see a consent notice before either is enabled. This site uses Google Consent Mode, so advertising and analytics tags receive your choice directly and behave accordingly.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Choosing to reject leaves the site fully usable; you will simply see non-personalised advertising instead.

What each category does

• Essential — remembers your cookie choice. Always on, cannot be disabled.
• Advertising — lets ad networks measure and, with consent, personalise the ads you see.
• Analytics — counts page views so we know which pages are worth improving.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Since this site does not hold accounts or store your calculations, there is usually nothing to retrieve. Requests can be sent to the address on the contact page.

Children

This is a tool for commercial shipping and is not directed at children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from them.

Changes

Any material change to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
