A free calculator that estimates LTL freight class from density. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

Estimates, not classifications

The output is an estimate derived from the density you supply. Final freight classification is determined by your carrier and by the NMFC listing applicable to your commodity. Commodities with a fixed class, hazardous materials, and shipments subject to special handling are not accounted for. Confirm classification with your carrier before booking.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this site and its operator are not liable for any loss arising from use of the calculator, including reclassification charges, inspection fees, corrected invoices, delays or lost business. You are responsible for verifying any figure before relying on it commercially.

Acceptable use

You may use the calculator freely for commercial and personal purposes. You may not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, republish its content as your own, or present its output as an official classification.
